Hey hey hey

Alright gotta say this isn't gonna be the best email because I'm sitting here with a ton of Sorelle and it's super distracting.  We just arrived in Catania for zone conference, which is tomorrow.  Whoooo hooo.  Catania is about an hour away from Messina on the Island of Sicily.

I'll just give you a rundown of the past week.

Sfefania:  We got a sweet referral this week from the online system.  It was so cool. Her mom is an inactive member of the church who was baptized in Argentina.  She never told her daughter about the church but they were talking about religion and Sfefania asked her mom where she thought the truth might be. Her mom then started talking about the LDS church!  So Sfefania put herself as a referral.  We are excited!!

We had a really cool lunch with a family from our ward this week!  They were so cute and....well yeah. They are just cute. I don't really know where I was going with this.

This week we taught a lesson to Giulio about the plan of salvation.  We asked him what he believed about after this life and he said, "I believe that everyone is right, and no one is right about what happens after this life."  I hate seeing this confusion in the world!  It's like...that makes no sense!  I'm so thankful to know where I came from, where I am, and where I am going.

We went to the hospital to visit our new convert who had a surgery on her feet. There was also another member there who is recovering from shoulder surgery.  So we killed two birds with one stone. It was great!  We got a lot of new potentials in the hospital actually.  Our member there was giving people Book of Mormons while she was doing physical therapy.  She reminds me so much of grandma Ottley!!!!! She's so cute. While we were there a monk came in to bless the sick people.  He said padre nostro and I didn't know what to do so I closed my eyes and bowed my head. Sorella Embley had her eyes opened and said the member was staring at me with my eyes closed and was like, "What in the world is she doing?" I didn't know they pray with their eyes open!

Also this week we saw Signorina and she was cracking us up so much!!!!!!!! We brought a less active member with us who has known Signorina for a long time.  Signorina was so happy to see her.  She said, "Leona, when are you going to get married?!" (Leona is a widow of like three years and Signorina knows it.)  It was so funny!  Oh man Signorina was just cracking me up. I wish you could all meet her. I love that woman so much!

Ok I'm sorry this is the worst email ever.  I’m not super focused.  Let me tell you a really funny story and then I'll go.

Today as we were walking, trying to find food, all of a sudden BOOM. I felt something warm hit the side of my mouth.  I froze and looked at Sorella Embley.  She looked at me.  "What color is it? What color is it?!?" I shouted.  She looked at me with these wide eyes like, "oh crap." Literally.  She said timidly, "Green....there is green all over your face...." I then looked down to discover A TON of bird poop on my skirt and I knew that was what was on the side of my mouth.  I started freaking out and then Sorella Embley didn't have any tissues so she hands me an English course card to wipe my mouth off.  We managed to finally find some tissues and I did the best to clean off my mouth but my skirt was still covered in poop.  I was freaking out and everyone was laughing at me.  Then I saw a guy with a hose.  We ran over to him and I had Sorella Embley spray me off with a hose so I was laughing and soaking wet.
I love the mission.

I'm sorry there is like nothing spiritual about this letter but I have to go......so just know that the mission is awesome, the church is true.  And God loves us all!  We are gonna have the best week ever.
Love,
Sorella Brunson
