CIAO A TUTTI,                                                   Monday, March 30, 2015

What a great week I’ve had.  The only problem is the TORNADO that I’m living IN THE MIDDLE OF. Literally, I think a tornado has picked up the entire island of Sardegna and we are floating inside it. bleeeh this wind.  I thought Kennewick was bad....mama mia.  Let’s just say skirts plus tornados equals.....well....yeah.....(note from Katie’s mom:  I have been checking Katie’s weather and she is right, her wind is worse than Kennewick wind.  In Calgari the wind will range from 20 to 30 mph all week long! )

Comq.  This life is a great one, even with 100 mph winds.  After the conference we were just supaaaa pumped and we had a really successful week!  We got to teach a lot of lessons.  Here’s an update on some of these great people who I love:

-Elisabeta.  She read the part of the Book of Mormon we left with her and she is really starting to understand the restoration and Book of Mormon.  This week she literally asked us, "wait....but why doesn’t the Catholic church accept the Book of Mormon?  It makes sense" ahh.  Great question.  She said a prayer at the end of our lesson that made me and Sorella Mazzarella tear up!  She thanked Heavenly Father for sending her "two girls to show her a new way to live her life."  The Spirit was really strong and I realized that even though we are only 19 YEARS OLD the message we have changes lives.  I love her.  We are excited to continue teaching her.

-Valentina is ALSO reading, praying, and coming to church.  She is 22, super stellar.  She has lots of questions, but continues to read the Book of Mormon.  She came to church and liked it.  She cracks me up too.  In English course she puts on her best "American accent" and its sooo funny.  To her an "American accent" is sounding super disinterested about everything.  It is true that Italian is waaay prettier than English.  So fam if you wanna work on learning it....we will be speaking Italian for the rest of our lives.

-Gabriella.  We had a good lesson with her, she agreed to "test the Book of Mormon" and read and pray this week. SPERIAMO BENE.

Next step is to get some baptism dates on these wonderful ladies. Stay in tuned next week.  So, those are the people we are working with.  Hopefully that isn’t boring to you but HONESTLY it’s the BEST PART of this whole thing haha. I can’t believe how much I love these people. Ohhh yeah and flash back to Ladispoli...Idas probably getting baptized soon!  WHAT!?? If you don’t remember her read back.

K, some other stuff.

-Mom, this week we went to go visit this ex simp of the sorelle.  We walked into the house....and there was A TON of random stuff:  baby dolls, Christmas decorations, old candy, pictures, paintings, just anything you can imagine, stacked up all the way to the ceiling.  I think you might have actually had an anxiety attack in that place.  hahaha.  At one point she looked at us with the super sincere face and she was like, "Sorelle, I just don’t have anything."  We were like......

-We saw the Cincottis this week.  They are the Bishop’s family. They have the cutest kids.  It reminded me of our house when the missionaries would come. haha. I remember Kev and Emma would just go NUTTSO.  That was a good life we lived.  Do the missionaries still come often?

-This week I finished the Book of Mormon again. If you aren’t reading it EVERY DAY, do it. If you don’t know what it is, ask someone to give you one. If you are a member of another church, read it anyways.  What hurt could it do?  The Book of Mormon is the BEST BOOK. As I’ve been able to read both the Book of Mormon and the Bible on my mission, I’ve been strengthened in ways I didn’t know were possible. You guys, just read. If you say you don’t have time...keep one in the bathroom. You AT LEAST have time to read a verse in there, right? You have time for the things you WANT to have time for. whooo sorry I’m going all preacher here.  Anyway, vi voglio un sacco di bene. The church is true. Life is great.

Eat some American cereal for me!  I miss that stuff.

Lots of love,

Sorella Brunson
