Hey everyone! Monday,
December 22, 2014
This week my letter is short because I’m going
to be skyping the fam soon!! whoo
whooooo. I left my planner at home, which has like my life in it.
So I’m trying to remember what I was going to say.
This week we walked around doing the same
survey we did last week. We asked people what Christmas means to them. We
asked about 15 people. Not ONE of them mentioned Jesus Christ.
Literally not one. They talked about being together as a family, but not about
Jesus Christ at all! So my challenge for you is to remember Jesus Christ
this Christmas. PLEASE! Because that’s why we even have Christmas
at all.
Also this week we got our heat fixed! What
a marvelous thing. Heat is the BEST.
I decided this week that I love Italians. They are
the most interesting people I have ever come across. Seriously, life in Italy is great. I
love teaching the gospel every single day. Oh my goodness mom I can’t wait to
talk to you and try to describe how awesome it is!
Our Christmas plans this week.....
Christmas Eve: Dinner appointment with the Stake President
who speaks perfect English and is the voice of Jesus in the Italian bible
videos NO BIG DEAL. Also, dinner
appointment with Ida, our investigator. Yes folks, I have TWO Christmas Eve
dinners. Next week I might look more like the people on Wall-e. Just a warning.
Christmas morning: sleep in till 7:30 WHOO HOOOO. Watch one of
our two allowed Christmas movies with the anziani at the church (we haven’t
decided which one yet) and then going to pranzo with some members.
Christmas Evening: skype the family. Play Phase Ten.
Day after Christmas: A holiday in Italy.
We are going to ROME! ALL DAY.
It will be a fun week, I’m excited!
I hope everyone has a stellar Christmas and
remembers why we even have it in the first place! Also don’t forget to:
1) watch
hallmark movies
2) drink
hot chocolate
3) listen to lots of Amy Grant Christmas songs
