SNOW IS IN THE AIR.
Legit. It's been snowing here. This morning we were about ready to start companion study and I heard a scream. I ran into my companions’ study room and BOOM there was snow falling from the sky. It made me so happy to see snow. It never snows here! So that was the best thing ever. We danced around a little bit and it was grand.
This week was so great.
I'll tell you guys about some cool stuff that happened.
-Simona is leaving! She is 20 and is from the ward here. She is SO AWESOME. She is headed up to Milan on a mission. It's really cool because her mom was inactive last year. She's been through a lot but with the help of ward members and the sorelle she is back. She went to the temple when Simona did and has been doing so much better. It's so awesome. I love them. Tonight Simona is getting set apart. Man I remember it like it was yesterday. She's gonna have the best year and a half ever.
-Foggia came to Bari this week. It was SO GREAT to see Sorella Thorpe again. And Sorella Peterson. Sorella Peterson is in her first transfer. MAN. She's an awesome missionary. We taught some stellar lessons and it was sweet. Sorella Thorpe makes me laugh so so so hard.
-We taught a sweet less active this week. Her children make up the whole primary. She has the craziest kids ever but they are way cute. We went and read Ether 6 with her and talked about trials. The spirit was SO strong and she talked about what she learned from what we read for like 20 minutes. It was so sick. She said, "Sorelle, this was exactly what I needed." I think that that phrase is one of my favorite parts about the mission. I love being able to be a tool in the hands of the lord. I love Him helping us to say and teach what needs to be said and taught. He loves His children.
-Funny story. We saw this lady at this ward activity tonight. We all walked up to her and I was like, "Ciao Sorella" and then one of my unnamed companions was like, "Come si chiama lei?" which means "what is your name?" That all would have been completely normal except for the fact that we had just visited this lady two days before....she looked at me, then my companion, and started dying laughing. I looked over at my comp and I'm like, "It's Sorella Gallone!!!" She turned soooo red and we all couldn't stop laughing. She hadn't recognized the lady with her hat on. Too good.
-The new senior couple arrived in Bari this week. They helped us with lots of stuff so that's SO COOL. Plus they are from Canada which is exciting. It was so interesting seeing the wife's reaction to Italy. She hasn't really been here so she's kind of like a greenie. I forgot how CRAZY this country is. Her reaction to everything is so great. I can't wait to tell you guys all about Italy. We had pranzo yesterday and I took a time lapse of it so I'll make sure to send it to you. Man. Last night we had young women's evening in excellence. It was so good. Vescovo (Bishop) talked and the spirit was so strong. I love each of the young women here. There are about seven of them. I just wish every girl in the world knew how much love Heavenly Father has for her. When Vescovo was talking about how much our Father in Heaven loves us, the spirit was so strong. Oh man I love this gospel.
-We had ward council this week. It was super awesome. THIS WARD IS AWESOME. All the areas I've served in have been great, but this ward really is getting stuff figured out. It's gonna grow so much. I wish I could stay and help them for the next 10 years.
Sorry a lot of cool stuff has been happening. It's just too much and hard to explain. To make up for it, I will send you a funny picture of the pjs our investigator bought us. I love Italy.
Anyway have a great week!
Love you all!
