So HEY! It was so great talking to you guys this week. Howwww fun!
This Christmas was a little bit different than most. One of the Sorelle here was in the hospital with some kind of scary health problems. So I ended up spending Christmas in the hospital! It's probably really impossible for me to explain all the stuff that happened and how it went down but let me just tell you the Heavenly Father was there for everything. On Thursday morning (Christmas Eve morning) we went to Trani, a town nearby, to have a pranzo with a single lady named Leonarda who lives out there (this is before the hospital stuff). We had a wonderful lunch with her. For me, this was one of the most beautiful parts of Christmas. Leonarda’s sons have both passed away, and she went through a really difficult divorce. She is going to visit her sister in January but as far as Christmas plans, we were really the only thing she had. It was so so so wonderful to be able to have pranzo with her and bring the Christmas spirit in her house. I knew that eating lunch with her was the way that Christ would have wanted us to spend our Christmas Eve. Oh it was so nice! Leonarda lives in Trani, which is on the way to Foggia. We had been planning to go to Foggia to see the Sorelle there because one of the Sorella was having severe back problems, but then they called us and said they were in the hospital. We went right away. That night I slept in the hospital! It was still a wonderful Christmas Eve because I got to talk to Tyler (my brother on a mission in New Zealand)! I called him and it was so so so wonderful!!!!! Ahhh he's the coolest, the best missionary ever. It made my Christmas to be able to talk to him. The next day was Christmas! We went to Bari because we had to get more clothes to stay in Foggia. We had a meal appointment and it was such a miracle because there were tons of inactive members there and we got to know all of them! Then we went back to Foggia and I spent Christmas night sleeping in the hospital. Haha I'll send a picture of the chair I slept in. The next day I spent the morning in the hospital with Sister Kennedy until I had a lunch appointment. I am so thankful for the members of Foggia! They took us all in and helped us so much with everything. I also have a bad cold so when I got to the member’s house for lunch, I fell asleep on the couch and this sweet member came over and laid a blanket on me. After that I got to watch a movie. Guess what it was? REMEMBER THE TITANS. I actually cried. It was the best thing ever. That night I headed back to the hospital for the last night! Now Sorella Kennedy has headed up to Rome to get the care she needs! She is doing better :) So that was my week! Haha I'm a little tired. But I got to say that with everything that happened, Heavenly Father was there to help every step of the way. I saw so many miracles this Christmas.
This Christmas reminded me a little bit of that scene in the Grinch; the one where he stands on the top of the mountain and listens, expecting to hear crying. He thought without the food and gifts and normal party things of Christmas everyone would cry and feel only despair. Instead, he hears the joyful singing of the Whoos that still remember why they celebrate Christmas. Although I spent most of this Christmas in a hospital room, it was one of the most beautiful Christmases I've ever had. And also helping Leonarda have a Christmas without being lonely, bringing the spirit into the home of some inactive members, serving Sorella Kennedy and helping her being comforted during this hard time and sharing the gospel with those in her hospital room are what made my Christmas! This was the Christmas where I remembered the birth of my Savior Jesus Christ more than any other Christmas I've ever had. I don't think I will ever forget this Christmas of 2015. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
Vi voglio bene!

PS. My companion got emergency transferred to Foggia and will finish training Sorelle Kennedy’s greenie. I am in a trio with Sorella Dew and Sorella Taylor so that means we are going to have to cover two wards and a HUGE area. I think I might be crawling off the plane. Haha. I'm so happy!
