Come state? In English course
I always welcome everyone by saying, "Hello, how are you all?" And they
reply, "fine" because that's what Italians here learn to say in school, "I'm fine" (sto bene). But as we all know, I'm fine is the most boring answer ever. So last week I said enough! And I taught them all how to say great, fantastic, etc. Now if anyone new comes to English class everyone explains to them that we say, "I'm fantastic!" not "I'm fine" hahha.

Comunque this week was
grand. It's super exciting to see the
investigators we have and how they are progressing! It's
also cool because we have had the opportunity especially this transfer to teach
a ton of young people. Gaia and Maura, and also Ema, and now our new investigator Benedetta (which means
blessed in Italian). She is sooooo
sweet. She lives in Cagliari and just got finished with a year as an exchange
student in...(drumroll please) Rexburg, Idaho. In that lovely city she somehow, by a miracle,
found some members of the church. Must have had to search preeeety hard. Just
kidding. She was living with a member family. She went to church, read the Book of Mormon,
and everything. So now she is back here and we get to teach her! YES. She is super
cute and I'm so happy to be teaching her.
There is a verse in the
Book of Mormon that says, “And we have entered into their houses and taught
them, and we have taught them in their streets; yea, and we have taught them
upon their hills; and we have also entered into their temples and their synagogues
and taught them.” I would like to add to
this...”and we have taught them in their questura (police station, comparable to the DMV).” Yes, this week we had the opportunity to teach
a lesson in the questura. We met this
sweet lady forever ago but she lives way far away. She called us and said she
was coming to Cagliari to the questura (foreigners do their documents there)
and said we could meet her there. So we did!
And while we were there we got two other
numbers of other people waiting. So that was a success I would say. Just ask our missionaries at home if they
have ever taught in the dmv....hahaha.
We have been teaching so much English lately, because lots of people have exams right now. I'm sending a picture of something I made for one of our Simps. English is so complicated! They ask me about grammar and I'm like, "boh, you just say it like that ‘cause you say it like that!" The funniest thing is when people correct me on my English. They'll be like, "no, I'm pretty sure you say it this way..." It's like....uh..... Ok? I'm getting pretty good at teaching though so if any of you need some help I'm all yours.
Also this week a senior couple came from Rome to do a house inspection and make sure everything was ok with the apartment (where was this magical house inspection when the pigeons were in the chimney is my question haha)! Anyway it was cool to see them! They took us out to lunch and told us our apartment was super clean (see mom! I'm super clean. Ok honestly we cleaned for like 2 days before they came...haha). It was fun to have visitors though. Besides that this week was full of teaching and good stuff like that.
This is Sorella Vasilachi’s last week in the mission! Ah! So it'll be crazy. She leaves next Monday morning. It'll be sad to see her go, we have had a blast.
I love you all! Choose the right! Happy birthday Nancy!
Vi voglio bene,
Sorella Brunson
Ahhh I forgot to tell you guys we saw a legitimate cat fight!!! Ohhhhh man they were fighting like crazy. Sadly the video is too long to send but ahhhh it was so crazy. Cool but also super scary because man those cats really go nuts.
