So...I feel like I just talked to you guys. But HEY again.                          Monday, May 04, 2015

Thursday to Today has been great.  Just normal missionary work, being happy and loving life.  The weather is super hot.  It went from winter to summer, we missed spring!

We attended a cool event on Friday morning.  It was a fiesta in Sardegna called, "Saint Efisio."  One thing that I love about Italy is how rich the history is!  There is so much culture and history here.  It’s just different in America.  So for Saint Efisio they have a parade where people dress up in traditional Sardegna costumes (like what they would wear a long time ago) and then they participate in this parade and oxen pull the carts.  Every little city surrounding Cagliari has its own traditional costume, and own ox cart. It’s pretty cool.  You guys can google it and see more.  All the members were super concerned on Sunday to make sure that we attended the parade.  It’s cool how proud Sardegnans are of their culture and language.  I LOVE THIS ISLAND.

Here’s a story that happened this week.  It’s one of those, "this would only happen in Italy" type of stories.  So we were on the bus and there was an old lady with all her groceries.  Like normal, I offered to help her.  Usually they don’t accept but she did this time.  As we were walking with her groceries she was like, "oh, can we stop by and say hello to my friend really fast?" So we stopped by to salute her friend.  They are both like 80 years old and are the cutest.  All the sudden we found ourselves in this ladies house drinking pear juice.  The lady (massimo) sung us this super funny song that she used to sing to her daughters.  We are going to memorize all the words as a companionship.  I WISH you could see the video but it’s too long.  dopo la mish. hahah it’s so funny.  It was one of those moments where I just backed out and realized I was sitting in a random ladies house that I met 5 minutes earlier, drinking pear juice and listening to her sing me a super old song.  I love Italy.

Another cool thing that happened...a couple weeks ago Sorella Vasilachi really had to use the bathroom and she decided to just go to a random house and ask if she could use their bathroom.  So she did!  Gosh that girl is super brave hahahaha.  And they let her in!  It was a lady who was taking care of her husband who has Alzheimer’s.  We talked to them a little and then left.  So this week we brought them cookies to thank them.  We got to share a spiritual thought.  It’s a super sad situation in the house because the husband has such bad Alzheimer’s. The wife is literally exhausted and just seems like she feels too tired for God.  We are really hoping to help them.  How funny would that conversion story be though?  "How'd you meet the missionaries?"  “Oh, they asked to use my bathroom".  Super funny.

So life is great!  We are working hard, seeing miracles, and have continued to teach a lot of lessons.  We just need to get these investigators progressing!!!!!!!!!  It’s gonna happen.  Hopefully they will have baptismal dates soon.
I love you all!  I’m thankful to be serving the Lord.  I know the church is true.

Love,

Sorella Brunson
