Alright everyone. Don’t worry, I learned
my lesson last time I skyped and everyone was upset because my email was short
the next Monday. This will be a normal length email. So just
chillax a bit. hahah.
This week was cool cool cool. Come sempre (like
always).
I GOT TO SKYPE THE FAM!
Shout out to the best mother in the whole
world, DaLene Brunson. She's a babe, she's tan, and I just found out
Sunday that she's 43, not 42....but she looks like she’s 25 still. AND she’s
taught me everything that I know. Without my mama, I’d be supa
gone-ah.hehe. If you’re wondering how great my mom really is, just go
ahead and stop by the house. She'll let you in, feed you something really
yummy, and it'll be fantastic. Right
mom? (yes, Katie, all are welcome any time…and I usually have choc chip cookie
dough in the fridge).
Also, the rest of you look mighty good-lookin
too. It was so fun to see you and skype you all! Next time I'll only have two months left when
we skype (bAHSDFLASDFLHSDLFKAHS bleeeehhhh)
Also, announcement to the general public:
I found out my family has been saying "Cagliari" in a very, VERY American
way. I have taught them how to say the name of the city correctly.
So if you could please ask any member of my family for that pronunciation
information that would be greatly appreciated.
So anywhoo, this week was great.
We went to Oristano on Tuesday morning for
DDM...ROAD TRIP. That was fun. It’s always kind of a refresher to leave
the city. Sometimes island fever is a real life thing.
This week we were able to teach a lot of
lessons with members so that was SUPA cool. You guys, it helps sooo much
to have members. Someday, just call the missionaries and surprise them. Say, "Hello you aniziani or
sorelle. I have some free space this Saturday. Do you have a lesson that I could come
to?" I PROMISE they will drop their mouths wide open, roll on the ground
and jump up and down in happiness. Then,
they will forever cherish you. They might even make you brownies.
The work is going really well here
though. We keep meeting cool people and we have been teaching so many
lessons! SO FANTASTIC. It’s been
such great practice, I feel like teaching comes a lot more naturally now.
Which I really like.
This Wednesday I hit my 9 month mark in the
mission. That was nuts. Sorella
Vasilachi put a bunch of sticky notes everywhere, so cute. And then she
made me crepes! I can’t believe I’m half way done with the mission. HOW
DID THAT HAPPEN?!?!?!!??! craazzzzyyyyy. Can’t wait to make the second half
even better than the first. gosh this is the best thing ever.
Thursday was Sorella Vasilachis birthday. HOW FUN. hahah before I went to bed I set the
alarm for 12:00 am. She woke up to go to the bathroom because she thought
it was morning. I yellled "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" and then I threw up
bunch of confetti all over her head. Super funny. The day was super fun. We had
a really yummy lunch at the Relief Society president’s house. She has three little boys and they are SO
CUTE. We had a fun day.
We kind of had a hard week with getting our investigators
to progress. It’s great that they want
to hear about our message and want to meet with us but it’s hard to get them to
really ACT. So we're working on that.
I’ve continued to loveeeeee the stuff I learned
from the Anziano Bednar conference. I’ve
done some really sweet studing. One I did this week that was cool....actually
I might have already told you guys about this....look up what Christ said after
"my time is at hand" in the Book of Mormon and Bible. That’s cool.
Comunque, life is really good. It’s so
fun hanging out and teaching with Sorella Vasilachi every day. And I love
this city. I could serve the rest of my mission here and be totally fine.
Next week we get transfer calls. AH.
I hope you are all doing well. Hope you had a
great Mother’s day. Remember to be happy. It’s almost summer, school is almost out, and
we just have a whole heck of a lot to be grateful for.
Happy birthday to Lisa, Phillip and Jeff B!!
LOVE YOU ALL
VI VOGLIO BENE ASSAI (I love you all a ton)
