Hey hey hey from italia!                                                             Monday, May 18, 2015

The Island of Sardegna is really rockin today.  It’s sunny, the sards are happy, the water is beautiful.  We're thinking to take a nice swim for pday..JUST KIDDING. but seriously you guys it’s so pretty here.  Last pday we went on the MOST BEAUTIFUL HIKE.  I forgot how much I love hiking. There isn’t a better feeling than having your hair in a ponytail, wearing comfy clothes and then sweating while hiking. MAN it was hot but so awesome and beautiful.  I’m sending some pics!

So a funny story for this week.  I ATE SO MUCH FOOD WEDNESDAY NIGHT. We went to see a family in the ward, a cute old couple who served a mission a couple years back.  We didn’t know they were gonna feed us, but BOY did they feed us. This is what we ate...

A HUGE bowl of ravioli. I mean huge. I was stuffed after the ravioli.  A HUGE piece of chicken. like we each ate 1/4 of a chicken.  cheese with ham.  and THEN a huge bowl of gelato. My tummy was the fullest it ever has been in its whole life.  It was the funniest thing ever. and the sister from the ward just kept saying, "no, you have to eat more, you guys walk a lot" and "no, you have to eat more gelato, it’s so good for you" hahahahha. so funnnyyyyy.  People are crazy about food here. I love it but me and sorella vasilachi got home and just laid down in so much pain. It was like Granny’s Buffet times 10.  Tyler, I almost had your "puke in the cup" experience. seriously. (if someone reading this hasn’t heard Tyler’s "puke in the cup" experience, ask him about it. although it’s probably pretty self-explanatory. haha)

Thursday for pranzo we ate lunch with a little old lady that we met.  We are teaching her niece the lessons so we had pranzo with her.  SHE’S SO CUTE.  Her name is Rinna.   I love old people here, they are the best.

We got to see Counsesou this week.  We really think that she's going to come back to church for good. It’s really, really exciting!  And we got to talk to some of her friends.  In fact, it was an interesting situation.  It was her 4 year old daughter’s birthday and she invited us to come to her birthday party. We thought it was a little strange, but we felt like we should go so we did.  We ended up chatting it up with all her friends, and I exchanged numbers with one of them, who was really excited to meet with us and learn more about the gospel. YOU GUYS! The next time you have a birthday party for your kids, look around eh?  Think to yourself, "if sorella brunson was here, and she chatted it up with one of my friends, would they maybe be interested in hearing about the gospel?" and if the answer is "yes" then for heaven’s sake, TALK TO THAT FRIEND ABOUT THE GOSPEL.  Is this making sense? hahaha.  If you're telling the missionaries "no, I don’t know anyone who is interested" but then I come to your daughter’s birthday party and set up appointments with two of your friends.....it means you DO know people who are interested. avete capito? so yeah, look outside the box a little.

Anyway, missionary work is good. I don’t think I’ve ever told you guys about Ema or Fabrizio?  They are some cool new people we are teaching!  Ema is 14 and has read part of the Book of Mormon. She doesn’t exactly know what she believes, but she really wants to believe in God. It’s so cool how much desire she has to believe!  It’s a really crazy time for her in school right now, but I could see her getting baptized for sure! She's super cute and from Bangladesh. I’ve met people from seriously so many countries here in Italy. It’s the coolest.

Alright, cool thing I read this week.  Story of David and Bath-sheba. EXCEPT have you guys ever noticed that David’s first mistake wasn’t looking at Bath-sheba?  His first mistake was not being in war, where he was supposed to be!  My good friend Anziano Bednar talked about this at the conference.  You guys should read it!

Alrighty I hope everyone’s doing fantastic, and getting ready for SUMMER. Don’t forget to go to 7-11 for a slurpee!

Love you all, the church is true!
Sorella Brunson

Katie also wrote a note to that mentioned she was so sorry to hear about the passing of Keith Howard and her great-grandpa Hodson.  She sends her love to Sharel Howard and she is thankful Grandma Ottley will get to go to her father’s funeral before she leaves for her mission.  Katie wondered how Grandma Ottley was doing through all of this, including waiting for the arrival of a grandbaby.  She wants pictures of the baby, Crystalin.  She says congrats to Spencer Watson on his marriage.  She says congrats to Amanda on getting a job at as a life guard at the Tri Cities Court Club.  She is excited we get to see all the family in Utah and told me to tell the Cannon’s and extended family hi for her.  She wishes Tyler and Amanda well at golf districts today.  She is so glad Tyler got his passport in time and was able to make it to Seattle for his visa doctor appointment.  She says happy birthday to Summer, Jaelyn, Tami and Grandma Brunson!!!!
