Hey everyone! Monday,

Life is so good over here in Sardegna.
This week was full of adventures and was super fun.
First off....we got transfer calls. I’m staying in Sardegna! With Sorella
Mazzarella. whoo hooo!!!! The anziani are the same too. I was
pretty sure that would happen and I’m happy about it. This is a good
place and we have a lot of work to do. This week is stake conference so
that’s exciting! Anziano Kieran is coming from the area presidency.
I’ve heard a lot about him and that he is super awesome so that’s gonna be
stellar.
Today we are going bowling for pday. yaya! You
asked about pdays...we can do more now that my foot is better... but there
really isn’t a ton to do honestly. There are tennis courts by the church
and I’m DYING to play but idk if that will happen. I’d like to go on a hike.
Hopefully we will do that soon. The weather is getting so much better and it’s
making me miss sports haha. But it’s ALL
GOOD because life here is FANTASTIC and goodness this week was cool. A
list of cool stuff that happened...
-We went to the beach last week and it was
soooo beautiful everyone! It was a
little cold but still pretty nice. I
liked it a lot. We built sandcastles and
took Stanley.
-I can walk! We went running this morning, didn’t hurt a
bit. So it’s all gooooood.
-We found taco seasoning and guacamole which
both don’t exist here! We had a mexican
fiesta Friday, stupendous.
-Did you know I can do math? This girl from English course who ALWAYS asks
us questions about the church begged me to help her with math this week.
We said we could if we did a spiritual thought and stuff. She was really, really stressed about her math
and it reminded me of myself. She brought the math and I literally remembered
how to do all of it! even the anziani
didn’t remember! Apparently I remember some stuff from those 4 hour math
sessions in Mr. Klos's class hahahahaa.
- So one of the hard things about this area is
trying to get to new places. You have to
figure out which bus to take, which stop to get off, and how to get to the
house from the stop. It’s kind of
stressful. There’s Cagliari, and then little cities outside of it like
Monserato and Saline. Being who I am, I HATE being late but when you are
trying to find a place you’ve never been, you don’t know how much time it will
take and it’s really hard to not be late. It’s just stressful to be lost haha. anywhooo We
were going to a members house we had never been to before. We were on a
bus and asked if it went where we needed to go and the driver said, "no,
you have to get off and grab another bus right here." So we got off and started waiting for that
bus. All of a sudden this man comes out of nowhere and he tells us,
"you know this bus stop isn’t running right now, right?" and we were
like "nope...". He said, "follow me" and showed us
exactly where we needed to go to grab the bus. The he disappeared!
hahhaha. One of the three nephites. but seriously it was so cool.
We got to the house at exactly the right time! It was so great!
-This week we were looking for a less active
lady. We couldn’t quite find the street but we knew from our map that we
were really close to her house. So I asked this lady standing by us waiting to
cross the straight. I was like, "do you know where this street is?"
and she was like, "You’re looking for my mom!!!!" She was the DAUGHTER of the less active we
were trying to visit. She didn’t even know her mom was a member. How crazy. So we got to talk to her a little bit about
the church and she brought us to her mom.
-We were talking to people on the street and
talked to this one lady. She listened to what we had to say and then she
said, "ok, can I ask a question. Has this brought happiness to your
life? Is your life better because of the
message that you have?" I said, “YES!!” and bore my testimony about why I
was there and what I was doing. It was a really cool experience.
She said she wanted to know more and we got her number. Then we asked her her name and she was like, “well
I’ll just go by my last name if you guys are!” So we call her Sorella
Boi. hahahahha so great.
- We ran into the anzianis neighboor like
literally 40 min away from where they live on the most random street. He was really cool and has a Book of Mormon at
home and said he would read some of it that night!
-My hair is getting reeeeally light. It’s weird and it has only been sunny like
three times since I’ve arrived here haha.
ANWAY this week was really, really awesome. We
worked hard and focused on finding less actives and help them come back to
church. Hopefully we can help grow the ward! I’m excited to work
for another six weeks here. I love love love the island of Sardegna! And
it’s finally getting sunny which is so exciting. I hope it’s here to
stay. Happy March everyone!
Shout out to grandma Ottley
whose birthday is this week! Grandma,
you are the BEST. Goodness I’m so
thankful for you. For those of you who don’t know Charlene Ottley, get to
know her. She is going on mission number two, has 9 children, lots of
grandchildren, and is one of the best examples I’ve ever met. We love our
grandma Ottley!
Happy Birthday to London and Roger, too!
This mission is the best thing ever. I
know I say it every week, but it’s true, every week. It’s really, really hard,
but it’s really, really good too. If you want to know how much your
Heavenly Father loves you, go on a mission! I’ve never felt closer to my
Father in Heaven. I know He is here with me, every step of the way.
HAPPY MARCH!

VI VOGLIO BENEEEEEE
Sorella Brunson
