Here is the best news.... I GOT YOUR PACKAGE!!!

Mom, your faith prayed it here, I just know it. You are SUCH a stud.
Here is what happened.  I was sitting on my bed during pranzo and doing something.  I don’t remember what.  Then our little phone buzzed meaning someone was at our door. I picked up the phone and this guy was like, "Katie, Katie Brunson" in an Italian accent.  I was like, “who the flip knows my first name in this country?!?!?!" haha but it turns out it was the mailman!  He just handed me my package and all was well!  I LOVE THE PACKAGE.  Sooo much.  The crumb bars are the best thing of my life.  I loved the voice recordings and also the MIKE AND IKES.  ahh it was all so good.  THANK YOU!! I probs still wouldn’t send packages directly to my apartment, but for this time it worked out marvelously.  Also thanks for all the music!!!  I can’t actually listen to folders from itunes through our dvd player but I am allowed to put music on the phone so I am just gonna do that!

Ok so Thanksgiving!!!  Happy Thanksgiving!  It looks like you had a ton of fun at Ensign Ranch, as usual.  I’m sad to have missed out dominating everyone at shuffleboard.  How’s the fam?  speaking of which...
SHOUT OUT TO CHADD AND TAMI FAMILY.  Got their letter this week, made my day for sure.  I’ll be writing back soooon.  For Thanksgiving we actually had a stellar time!  We went to Rome for DDM on Thursday and then for pranzo a group of missionaries ate together, and the senior couples got a TURKEY for us.  It was so so so so so good.  And all the missionaries made stuff (we made fruit salad).  It was such a feast.  It actually felt like thanksgiving.  It was so nice.

Then we had a Thanksgiving party for English course!  We invited everyone we know (including the members). It was a bummer because it was super stormy that night so some roads were closed.  We still had a good turnout and A TON of food.  It was really fun!  I realized that I love these people.  A ton.  A ton a ton a ton.

This week I went to Ostia and did a greenie scambi with Sorella Barazoto (she was in the MTC with me).  It was a hoppin party.  We played UNO and had a grand ole time.

This next week is gonna be CRAZY because it’s Sorella Marquis LAST WEEK. AHHHHHHHHHHH.  So sad.  So so so so sad.  Our weekly goal this week was "have fun" haha because it’s our last week to party together.  I can’t believe it but we literally never get sick of each other.  So it’ll be a fun week!  And we also have a lot of appointments.

Speaking of that, Ida has a baptismal date! WOW! Did I tell you about her?  I think she’s going to get baptized.  It’s really exciting. Oh except the only problem is she has been living with her "man" for 25 years and they aren’t married...and have a kid.....haha so first she has to get married.  yikes.

Our other investigators are kinda slowing down.  Sadly, but I love them the same!!!!!!!!!!!!  We had a good lesson with Domenica this week.  She told us the story we told her out of the Book of Mormon helped her decide what to do for work.  But also she tells us that she doesn’t know if the Book of Mormon is true... I’m like "woman, how can a book be the answer to your questions but not be true?!?!" hahah so we are working on that.  I love her sooo much.  She always makes us hot coco.  She’s an Italian mom.

2 random side notes:  When I was in Ostia this week on my exchange we were walking down the street in the middle of a day and this old grandpa was helping his grandson pee in a tree.  Pants down and everything, right in the middle of the street.  Hahahahah.  I died laughing.

Also this week someone asked me what my name is and I said, "Sorella Marquis" hahahaha. I think I have an identity crisis.

This week is transfer week!!  Which means on Saturday I’ll know who my new companion is!  I’m probably staying in Ladispoli.  I’m like 80 percent sure.  But I will definitely have a new companion so we will see about that!

This week we had a lesson with the Benzedu family.  And guess WHAT?!?! (chicken butt) And also we made a Thanksgiving chain with them. WHOO HOO bring the family TRADITION to ITALY!  Holla.  They really like it. It was cute.

I never said thanks to Sarah Schwab for having that fun day with Emma!  I’m thankful someone’s takin care of my little girl.

Ok.  This week in church they gave a lesson about the temple and getting ready for the open house!  No, the temple isn’t really that close to being finished.  But it was really, really exciting to hear Italians talk about the temple in Rome.  It is going to be such a blessing!  A lot of people we talk to here think that Mormons are Amish still.  So the temple is going to break down a ton of barriers.  They talked about how they felt when they heard President Monson announce a temple would be in Rome.  Ahhh It gave me the chills.  They said pretty much everyone was crying of joy.  I’m sad I won’t be here when the temple is ready, but I’m happy I can do the hard work of getting this beautiful country ready for a temple.  I love love love Italy, I love the mission, and I love love love my life these days.  It couldn’t be better.

Have a great week!  I love you all!!!

Sorella Brunson
